Set yourself up for SUCCESS!
You can expect your Guide to assess your current skill-set and fitness level – if your Guide determines that your chosen trail goal is not a safe match for you, then they have the right to re-route your day.
These Private EPIC rides will include:
- Round trip shuttle service from your in-town lodging
- A full suspension mountain bike (with a dropper seat post) + helmet
- A sandwich, fruit and snack bars
- Up to 6 hours of ride time with a Certified Guide/Instructor

One Day White Rim Trail Ride
The White Rim Trail in Canyonlands National Park has become a favorite epic one day mountain bike ride for the goal oriented endurance crowd. If you’ve been thinking of completing this amazing 84 mile route in one day, look no further. MAGPIE CYCLING takes care of all the logistics including shuttle, water, food, maps, support station at the halfway point, and all the other little details so you can JUST RIDE your bike!

Pre-Trip Meeting – 6pm the evening before the ride at Magpie’s Office. Introductions, trip details and a quick bike & helmet inspection will be taken care of at this time. This is also your opportunity to deposit your “Personal Effects Bag” onto the Support Vehicle at the end of the meeting.
Ride Day –On the morning of the ride, wake up early and be sure to have some breakfast to meet at 5am. You will drive yourself to the Staging/Parking area, where you will leave your car and post ride comforts. Then you are in the professional care of Magpie Cycling all the way around the White Rim Trail and back to your car! Begin riding by 6am. Arrive at the lunch spot between 11:30 and 1:30. Enjoy a cold water cache at mile 70. Finish at mile 84 and your personal vehicle!

Do I need previous mountain bike experience? YES. This is an endurance mountain bike ride through 84 miles of rough terrain, to be finished in one day. Does the guide ride along with me? Throughout the ride, experienced Guides help with pacing, suggestions on caloric intake, and interpreting the Cultural & Natural History of the Moab area. For some riders, the way to go is with ear buds playing their own personal soundtrack and a stopwatch. However you would like to experience this classic one day ride is up to you. MAGPIE CYCLING makes it happen!
Food? A personalized lunch order prepared by Moonflower Market’s Datura Deli will be waiting for your hungry body at the halfway point of the ride. Lots of cold water, electrolyte replacement mix, carbs, salts and proteins are available at mile 42.
